Water, water, water everywhere

A few states in Malaysia suffered the worst flood ever. Kelantan
was devastated, particularly Gua Musang, Tanah Merah, Kota
Bharu and Pasir Mas. Major cause of the flood, apart from
continuous rain was partly due to the deforestation in the hilly
areas upstream, especially in Gua Musang. I think the State
Government should reconsider approving logging concessions
in the water catchment areas. Lessons must be learnt. And
the deforestation in the affected states was rampant due to
corruption, may be.
